Every relationship has its challenges. Sometimes it helps to have a safe, nonjudgmental place to communicate your needs and desires to your partner. When couples separate themselves from their problems, they often leave more room for shared values and preferences to emerge. Using philosophies drawn from emotionally focused therapy and narrative therapy, I hope to help each member of the partnership build upon existing strengths and inner resources, while inviting opportunities for healing, compassion, and understanding. I have experience working with couples dealing with infertility, infidelity, grief and loss, trauma, communication issues, as well couples with a child who has neurological differences or behavioral problems. I work with couples of all ages, married or not, gay or straight. The process of reaching out can be the hardest part, but therapy can help.
